“I am no longer easily drawn to rabbit holes of digital content that wastes my time, and am better about consciously choosing what or who I want to be informed or entertained by. Day 25’s activity to lay my phone down for a full day felt too challenging. The concept was on my radar, however, so I did make an effort to lay it down during some activities when my phone would accompany me. Perhaps laying the phone down for 1-3 hour intervals is less "intimidating". Declining a full day sort of felt like I failed. Some of the emails asked me to write down thoughts or behaviors. Personally, I don't feel comfortable journaling. Instead of writing my thoughts down, I just thought about them. Many of the exercises actually helped me learn how to use my phone since I am not a techie person. I love that I feel in control of App settings, instead of simply accepting the defaults. My phone's operational features no longer feel as intimidating.”

“This course helped me redefine my relationship with my phone. I wanted to spend less time glued to my screen. I was feeling addicted to my phone and was having trouble making progress. The course offers a combination of short lessons, reflections, and tips/suggestions that helped me reduce my screen time and be more mindful about how I use digital devices so that they serve me without taking up all my time and attention. I really appreciated how thoughtful the course was. The content was approachable and non-judgmental. I had seen some similar content before, but not all in one place. Plus I thought how the course combined tips/tricks with the unique reflection exercises was also particularly effective for me. I spent about 10-15 minutes per day on average completing the daily lessons, which was just the right amount of time. An added bonus, the illustrations are beautiful!”
